Specialist, Electrical Technician
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS
- Repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and building systems.
- Implement preventative maintenance measures on all ground systems and most facility equipment.
- Complete inspections of fire detection and extinguishing systems.
- Support third-party vendors for preventative maintenance of critical systems.
- Support all ground operations, including assisting the RF and antenna field.
- Perform any other tasks as requested by the Manager.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Willingness to extensive work in irregular hours and participation on call 24/7.
COMPETENCIES
- Experience and knowledge in electrical boards and high voltage systems.
- Familiarity with and experience maintaining large UPS systems and Communication equipment rooms.
- Knowledge and experience with transformers, generators, HVAC, plumbing, and general construction.
- Reliable and able to deliver successful solutions with minimal supervision.
- Ability to read electric programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both oral and written)
- High level of integrity and work ethic.
- Ability to identify and communicate the need for change and solve problems.
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse organization.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Electrician certificate - at least.
- Trade school or other special training in HVAC and large electrical systems.
- 5 + years of building maintenance experience
