Overview
Sedaro is hiring a Senior BD Manager to own the full BD lifecycle and accelerate our expansion with the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, key prime contractors, and commercial space companies.
- Team: Growth, reporting to the CEO

- Clearance: U.S. citizenship required; eligibility for Secret (or higher) clearance

Who You Are
- 10+ years of business-development, capture, or sales leadership in Aerospace & Defense
- Deep network across the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, Air Staff / SAF, and PEOs
- Proven track record winning and closing ≥ $2 M government or prime-contract opportunities
- Strategic thinker who can translate customer pain points into compelling technical solutions
- Comfortable in a 30-person, high-ownership start-up
- Superb communicator able to brief flag officers, SES, and C-suite executives
What You’ll Do
- Grow and qualify pipeline across USAF/USSF major commands, SSC, SDA, AFRL, and commercial-space primes, expanding into adjacent IC and civil-space accounts.
- Shape RFIs/RFPs early, leveraging stakeholder relationships to influence program language and funding profiles.
- Lead end-to-end capture: competitive intel, win strategy, teaming, pricing, and proposal reviews for pursuits > $2 M.
- Represent Sedaro at industry events, conferences, and networking events
- Partner with Product & Engineering to translate market trends into roadmap features and prioritize SBIR/OT/AO opportunities.
- Forecast, track, and report BD metrics; manage relevant budgets and drive continual process improvement.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (STEM or Business); MBA or M.S. a plus
- 10+ years BD / capture experience in DoD or aerospace software systems
- 5+ years focused on USAF or USSF customers (active duty, reserve, civilian, or industry liaison roles)
- Demonstrated success performing on or leading captures ≥ $2 M for defense-software and space-system programs
- Ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance; Top Secret / SCI preferred
- Willing to travel (domestic, infrequently)
Additional Desirable Experience
- Prior military service or congressional staff experience on HASC/SASC or HAC/DAC space portfolios
- Experience influencing Congressional plus-ups or new-start appropriations
- Familiarity with digital-engineering standards (MBSE, digital twins, modeling & simulation) and Agile software delivery
- Established relationships in the A&D industry
