Overview

Sedaro is hiring a Junior Software Engineer to elevate the UX for our aerospace simulation platform. In this role, you will architect our web applications, extend our design system, and empower customer developers.

• Team: Editor, reporting to the Director of Engineering

• Location: In person in Arlington, VA

• U.S. Citizen or permanent resident status required

Our cloud-native simulation platform enables digital mission engineering through distributed, scalable, faster than real-time analyses across hundreds of interacting systems. What You’ll Do

• Design clear user experiences through information architecture and user flows

• Extend our design system and component libraries

• Develop intuitive and performant 3D and data visualizations

• Drive operational excellence using CI/CD and observability frameworks

• Solution design Lean solutions with impactful incremental deliverables

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience

• 1-3 years of professional experience in software engineering

• Experience developing reusable components in React

• Track record of building intuitive interfaces

• Experience with automated testing for frontend applications

• Strong web fundamentals

Additional desirable experience:

• Experience with data visualization and 3D rendering

• Experience with styling, including CSS, color theory, and type design

• Experience optimizing application performance
