We are looking for a Project Manager to assist and manage project for our high-resolution Earth Observation payloads at KaleidEO. This role involves close collaboration with diverse stakeholders, including clients, advisors, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure alignment with mission-critical requirements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate assistance with senior management, planning, and communication abilities, coupled with an understanding of space hardware development. They will be responsible for helping project execution across teams, managing tasks, timelines, risks, and scope, and ensuring that project objectives are achieved with quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery in support of the overall mission goals.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Assist in day-to-day project management activities, supporting planning, execution, and tracking of space-borne and satellite system projects.
  • Use and maintain project management tools to track tasks, update schedules, and ensure data accuracy and visibility.
  • Support the development and upkeep of project plans, tracking milestones and highlighting potential delays or risks to senior team members.
  • Act as a coordination point across cross-functional teams, with a dedicated focus on QA/QC and Supply Chain, to ensure smooth internal communication and timely follow-ups.
  • Organize, schedule, and document technical progress meetings, capture clear minutes, assign action items, and track them through for timely closure.
  • Maintain and regularly update the Project Risk Register, supporting risk identification, documentation, and tracking of mitigation actions.
  • Work closely with the Operations team to support planning and execution of external testing activities and facility utilization as per project needs.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors/partners to support ongoing project activities and ensure alignment on deliverables.
  • Facilitate clear and structured communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Track project progress and prepare regular status updates, dashboards, and reports for senior management.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in project coordination or project management, preferably in aerospace or high-reliability hardware industries.
Preferred Candidate will have:
  • Basic understanding of project management principles, tools, and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with tools such as MS Project, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Exposure to cross-functional coordination, especially with engineering, QA/QC, Supply Chain, or Operations teams.
  • Foundational knowledge of systems engineering concepts (requirements, integration, testing, V&V).
  • Ability to analyze project performance, budgets, and schedules to ensure mission and delivery success.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to document discussions and follow up on action items effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Good to have:
  • Exposure to aerospace/space systems, satellite subsystems, or hardware development environments.
  • Basic understanding of optical systems & payload subsystems (sensors, calibration, AIT processes).
  • Exposure to space/aerospace environments (standards, testing, mission constraints; orgs like ISRO).
  • Basic understanding of risk management concepts and project tracking metrics.
  • Certification or coursework in project management (e.g., CAPM or equivalent).
  • Willingness to travel (5–10%) if required.
