The IT team at Satellogic delivers reliable, scalable, and secure technology solutions to support the company’s mission and day-to-day operations. We ensure the smooth functioning of all IT services, infrastructure, and tools that enable business continuity, operational efficiency, and security.
The team is always learning and trying to push the limits, relying in part on the large diversity of people’s profiles and backgrounds.
About the position
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior IT Manager to lead and support all plant-level IT infrastructure operations at our Montevideo manufacturing facility. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable IT systems to support the plant's production, engineering, and business needs.
This position reports directly to the Head of Corporate IT and functionally aligned with the local Plant Executive. While overall IT direction, budgeting, and standards are set by corporate IT, the Senior Manager will have day-to-day operational ownership of all local infrastructure and related support staff.
Responsibilities
Plant IT Operations & Infrastructure Leadership
- Lead the management, support, and continuous improvement of all plant-level infrastructure systems, including:
- Servers (physical/virtual)
- Network (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls)
- Workstations and plant-floor devices
- Printers, scanners, and other connected hardware
- Servers (physical/virtual)
- Ensure high availability, resilience, and security of IT infrastructure across the facility.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for all infrastructure-related IT issues at the plant.
Compliance, Security & Risk Management
- Ensure all local infrastructure complies with corporate cybersecurity policies, data protection standards, and manufacturing IT guidelines.
- Collaborate with Information Security teams to conduct audits, vulnerability scans, and remediation activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems, assets, and configurations.
Team Leadership & Onsite Support
- Lead and mentor a team of local IT support and infrastructure personnel.
- Ensure excellent customer service and responsive IT support for plant staff and leadership.
- Foster a high-performance, safety-conscious IT culture aligned with corporate values.
Strategic Planning & Corporate Alignment
- Collaborate closely with Corporate IT to align local infrastructure with enterprise-wide standards and roadmaps.
- Represent plant IT needs in cross-functional and corporate forums.
- Provide input into annual IT budget planning for the facility and manage local IT resources accordingly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure roles, with 3+ years in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record in:
- Network and server administration
- Infrastructure planning and maintenance
- Managing local IT support teams
- Network and server administration
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity standards, endpoint management, backup/recovery, and business continuity.
- Experience working within a matrixed IT organization is preferred.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with ITIL or similar service management frameworks
- Experience with hybrid/cloud environments (e.g., AWS)
- Certifications such as are a plus but not required:
- CompTIA (Security+, Network+)
- CompTIA (Security+, Network+)
- Understanding of OT (Operational Technology) integration with IT in a manufacturing context

Location
This role will be required to be onsite at our Montevideo plant no less than 4 days per week.
