About the Position

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Accounting & Consolidation Specialist to provide maternity leave coverage for a key role within our finance team. This is a temporary full-time position (6–8 months) and is critical to ensuring the integrity and continuity of our financial consolidation, SEC reporting, and U.S. GAAP compliance processes during this period.

This individual will be responsible for overseeing the monthly and quarterly financial consolidation process, supporting technical accounting matters, and contributing to the preparation of external financial filings for a U.S. publicly traded company.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the monthly and quarterly global financial consolidation process, including intercompany eliminations through the oversight of a consolidations supervisor.

  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, and support the timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements.

  • Guide and assist in the preparation of SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, as well as earnings releases. Oversee and support the SEC reporting manager who is primarily responsible for these reporting documents

  • Research and document technical accounting issues and provide guidance on complex transactions (e.g., revenue recognition, lease accounting, stock-based compensation, impairments, etc.).

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, tax, legal, and business unit accounting teams to support accurate financial reporting.

  • Support internal and external audit processes, including preparation of audit schedules,responding to audit inquiries, and management of audit request workflow.

  • Maintain and improve consolidation systems and related internal controls.

About You

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.

  • Minimum 6–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3+ years in a U.S. public company environment.

  • Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and the ability to research and draft accounting position memos.
  • Experience drafting and reviewing SEC reporting documents, such as 10-K and 10-Q.

  • Previous experience managing multi-entity global consolidations.

  • Public accounting experience (Big 4 or national firm) and/or experience with complex international group structures is a plus.

  • Proficiency with financial reporting and consolidation tools (e.g., Adaptive, Acumatica, or similar).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and organization.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Location

This role can be performed remotely from locations across the United States. While our offices are located in Buenos Aires, Cordoba, Montevideo, North Carolina, and Barcelona, this position may require limited travel to these locations.
