Our international and agile team is looking for support from a motivated person as a an Avionics Engineer - Safety, required to work on flight termination systems and components, working across multiple departments to assist with architecture, system design, verification, validation and certification processes per regulatory requirements and launch operations.

Your Tasks - Spearhead the creation and optimization of advanced avionics and electronic systems, focusing on safety-critical applications.
- Contribute to the design of ruggedization qualification testing campaigns to ensure robustness of avionics systems for flight.
- Contribute to avionics systems engineering, including circuit design and oversight in sensor/actuator choice and integration.
- Oversee rigorous environmental testing processes to validate system performance and durability, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and protocols.
- Maintain stringent adherence to aerospace safety standards such as RCC-319 and RCC-324, ensuring all designs meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
- Actively support flight safety initiatives and launch operations, providing technical guidance and ensuring comprehensive safety measures at launch sites.
- Take charge of licensing processes and regulatory documentation, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all necessary paperwork and compliance requirements.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, providing mentorship and guidance to junior engineers while promoting a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
Your Qualifications - Strong background in avionics, electronics or similar discipline
- Experience with the design, testing and commissioning of safety critical systems
- Familiarity with relevant environmental testing
- Experience with avionics design and systems engineering
- Experience in working with flight safety or launch sites and executing launch operations is considered advantageous
- Experience with RCC-319 and RCC-324 or other equivalent aerospace safety standards is considered advantageous
- Fluent oral and written English skills (all day-to-day activities are performed in English)
- The ability to independently resolve facets of licensing and documentation
- Strong lateral thinking skills, high social intelligence, and the ability to solve problems independently and as part of a team
