Your mission
Rivada’s dynamic corporate IT team is looking for an exceptional Microsoft 365 Cloud Product owner to join the growing department. As a Microsoft 365 Cloud Engineer, your role encompasses managing, optimizing, and securing the entire Microsoft 365 Enterprise suite alongside Azure virtual machines for the organization. This includes administering services like Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, while also managing Azure VMs. Your responsibility is to ensure seamless operation, optimal performance, and stringent security and compliance across all aspects of the Microsoft 365 Enterprise and Azure VM environments.

This includes:
  • Microsoft 365 Environment Management:
    • Administer, configure, and maintain all components of Microsoft 365 Enterprise, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and associated services
    • Ensure smooth operation and optimal performance through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Azure Virtual Machines Management:
    • Deploy, configure, and manage Azure virtual machines to support various organizational workloads
    • Optimize VM resources for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency
    • Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions for Azure VMs
  • Security and Compliance:
    • Design and implement robust security policies and controls to protect the Microsoft 365 and Azure VM environments from cyber threats and data breaches
    • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and remediate security risks
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2 across both environments
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM):
    • Manage user identities and access controls across Microsoft 365 and Azure services using Azure Active Directory (AAD)
    • Implement single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and conditional access policies to enhance security
    • Integrate on-premises identity infrastructure with Microsoft 365 and Azure using Azure AD Connect
  • SharePoint Administration:
    • Design, configure, and manage SharePoint Online sites, libraries, and lists to support collaboration and document management within the Microsoft 365 environment
    • Develop and enforce SharePoint governance policies to ensure proper usage and content management
What you bring on the table
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, or Azure Administrator Associate are preferred
  • Proven experience in administering Microsoft 365 Enterprise services, Azure VMs, and associated technologies
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles, protocols, and best practices
  • Proficiency in Azure virtual machine management, including deployment, configuration, and optimization
  • Experience with Azure Active Directory and identity management across Microsoft 365 and Azure services
  • Familiarity with SharePoint Online administration, including site configuration, content management, and governance
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams

Rivada Space Networks is deploying the Outernet: the first unified global communications network. Rivada's global low-latency point-to-point network of 600 low earth orbit (LEO) satellites is a unique next-generation constellation combining inter-satellite laser links with advanced onboard processing and routing to create a ubiquitous optical mesh network in space. This "orbital network," in which data stays in space from origin to destination, creates an ultra-secure satellite network with pole-to-pole coverage, offering end-to-end latencies much lower than terrestrial fiber over long distances. And by routing traffic on a physically separated network, it provides a layer of defense for any organization that needs to securely share data between widely distributed sites.
