What you'll do

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Temporary, Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Brazil! This hybrid role offers the unique blend of working collaboratively within our São Paulo or Brasilia office 3 days a week and the flexibility of working remote 2 days a week.

We anticipate that this role will last approximately 8 months, providing a fantastic chance to gain experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the deployment of a large and sophisticated project. Activities include coordinating efforts of a cross-departmental or cross-functional team, by supporting group progress including scheduling, prioritizing, expectation setting, and cost management for projects focused on client services and also handling 3rd parties / vendors.


The day-to-day

  • Coordinates all aspects of a product or service offering project for a client, from inception to installation. Installations may involve acceptance of capitalized equipment or enterprise software systems, or system integration or consulting projects/engagements.
  • May work at client site from time to time.
  • Extensive interaction with sales, systems engineering, product development, pre sales, operations, field services and other members of cross-functional teams.
  • Responsible to delivery end-to-end customer satisfaction through the use of Viasat services.
  • Responsible for schedules and budgets to ensure goal attainment.
  • This role will have overall end-to-end project management responsibility.
  • Job Complexity: Works on and may lead projects of diverse scope with little instruction.
  • Demonstrates judgment in providing / suggesting methods.
  • Required Supervision: Works autonomously with little instruction to solve well-defined problems. Presents results according to predefined metrics and makes suggestions to determine appropriate methods.
  • Skill / Knowledge: A professional with a core understanding of telecommunications network deployment.
  • Resolves larger, sophisticated issues in creative ways.
  • Leadership / Influence: May provide guidance and/or mentor junior level staff.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years' proven experience in a relevant role such as Project / Program Manager.
  • Telecom domain experience - working on large IT and Telecom network / projects deployment.
  • A proven track record in working effectively in a cross-functional, collaborative team environment, bridging the gap between cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing external 3rd parties
  • Languages: English fluency is required.
  • Up to 40% of the time will be needed for travel.
