What you'll do

As an Event Coordinator on the Global Events team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality event logistics and cross functional coordination for small to mid-scale B2B events. You’ll work closely with corporate and commercial teams and collaborate with our event agency partner to ensure seamless logistics and on‑time delivery within Viasat’s brand standards. This role reports to the Manager of Events & Experiential Marketing and is ideal for someone who loves event operations, is highly organized, proactive, detail- focused, and thrives in a fast- moving environment.

Note this is a temporary position.


The day-to-day

  • Partner with business and marketing teams to understand event goals and measurable outcomes

  • Coordinate communications, timelines, tasks, and status updates across internal teams and stakeholders to ensure event readiness.

  • Manage attendee communications, registration, hotel blocks, and meeting scheduling processes.

  • Coordinate end-to-end logistics for assigned events including printing, shipping, catering, promotional items, etc, ensuring all elements meet brand standards and are delivered on time.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for approved vendors, ensuring expectations, timelines, and deliverables are clearly communicated and proactively address issues or delays to protect event schedules.

  • Serve as lead for onsite event operations including vendor oversight, room set-up, signage placement, and general troubleshooting.

  • Manage registration platforms, apps, survey tools, and ensure data accuracy.

  • Facilitate vendor contracts and SOW’s and submit purchase requests ensuring compliance with internal policies.

  • Track event spend to approved budgets and partner with finance to ensure timely and accurate payments.

  • Maintain accurate event documentation, file management, and post-event reconciliation.

  • Capture metrics, collect stakeholder and vendor feedback and consolidate insights for continuous improvement.

  • Serve as Viasat brand ambassador.


What you'll need

  • 5+ years experience in corporate events, marketing operations, hospitality, tradeshows, or a related capacity.
  • Detail‑oriented and naturally organized, with a passion for process and quality.
  • A flexible, positive, and self-starting approach to working in a cross-functional team
  • Demonstrated ability to run complex logistics with accuracy
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, able to handle multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Calm and solution focused under pressure.
  • Excited to grow within the events profession and take on increasing ownership.
  • Motivated by creating exceptional experiences for attendees, partners, and employees.
  • Excellent writing, proofreading, and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% for onsite support, depending on program needs.
  • US Citizenship is required for this position

What will help you on the job

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business, communications or related field
  • Experience in technology, space, or telecommunications industry
  • Experience with event systems (e.g. registration platforms, project management tools)
  • Experience using travel and procurement tools (e.g. Concur, SAP Ariba)

Salary range

$58,500.00 - $92,000.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $72,500.00- $108,500.00/ annually
