What you'll do
As Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating the adoption of the most advanced connectivity solutions in the maritime market. Reporting to the VP of Marketing and working closely with Sales, Product, Strategy, and Central Marketing teams, you will lead the execution of the marketing strategy in APAC while playing an important role in global initiatives and product marketing programmes that shape the future of maritime communications.
The day-to-day
Marketing Strategy and Planning:
- Support the development of integrated marketing and communications plans aligned with overall business goals and Marketing team objectives.
- Design and implement end-to-end marketing programmes to boost brand visibility, drive customer engagement, and grow market share.
- Use market insights and competitive intelligence to inform plans, anticipate trends, and identify customer needs.
- Translate strategic priorities into clear tactical plans with defined deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Ensure all initiatives are aligned with business priorities, maximising impact and return on investment.
Sales Enablement:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholder and external agencies to deliver high-quality, audience-centric, on-brand campaigns and assets.
- Produce compelling content, such as case studies, brochures, presentations, press releases, videos, infographics, and thought-leadership pieces, to showcase our portfolio.
- Plan and deliver regional trade shows, customer events, and partner activities, ensuring seamless execution and strong commercial impact.
- Support the development of value propositions for new products and features, highlighting solutions to customer problems from conception through launch.
- Provide the partner channel with targeted marketing support, sales enablement materials, and co-marketing opportunities.
- Track and report on key performance metrics such as lead generation, pipeline contribution, engagement to demonstrate marketing effectiveness.
Product marketing
- Define and refine product positioning, messaging, and narratives to clearly articulate value to target audiences.
- Drive go-to-market strategies for new and existing products, including launch plans, naming, packaging, and promotional activities.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Strategy, and Operations to ensure successful and cohesive market entries.
- Develop and deliver sales tools, playbooks, and briefing materials to equip the Sales team to sell effectively.
- Lead customer engagement initiatives, such as webinars, workshops, and roundtables, to strengthen relationships and gather actionable feedback.
- Leverage data-driven insights to enhance messaging, improve campaigns, and guide product improvements.
Technical Marketing Expertise:
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the maritime industry, and emerging technologies.
- Simplify and translate complex technical concepts into clear, impactful messages for diverse audiences, from ship operators to C-suite executives.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and innovations, embedding them into marketing plans and sales strategies.
What you'll need
- 10+ years’ experience in B2B marketing, preferably in technical or complex product marketing.
- Proven marketing generalist skills across product, channel, digital, social media, content creation, advertising, and agency management.
- Strong organisational and project-delivery skills, capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling messaging.
- Budget and time-management expertise, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Demonstrated success collaborating with external agencies, suppliers, and internal stakeholders in a matrix organisation.
- Self-starter with the agility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with the maritime and/or offshore oil & gas sector is highly desirable.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear marketing strategies and sales enablement materials.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and advanced MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
