We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, results-driven leader to join our newly formed Government Transformation Office as a Director, Transformation Change Agent. This is a unique chance to shape the future of the Viasat Government business from the ground up.
As a key leader and member of the transformation team, you will be a catalyst for change at the most strategic level, driving the effort alongside business and functional leaders. You will be a principal architect of our company-wide transformation, partnering directly with senior executives to drive a portfolio of high-impact initiatives that will accelerate growth and drive operational excellence.
The day-to-day
As a Transformation Change Agent, you will serve as the primary strategic partner to leaders across the business, helping them build and execute their portfolio of transformation initiatives. You will guide and coach initiative leaders, equipping them with the tools and methodologies to deliver measurable outcomes. Your role will be pivotal in developing and implementing a standardized transformation framework, ensuring we have the governance, KPIs, and reporting needed for success.
You will also personally lead select high-priority, cross-functional projects and ensure a robust pipeline of initiatives is maintained to meet our strategic and financial targets. This dynamic role involves daily collaboration with senior leaders, finance professionals, and functional groups in a team-centric environment dedicated to achieving program and company-wide excellence.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in business transformation, management consulting, corporate strategy, or a related field with a clear track record of leading large-scale change programs.
- Demonstrated experience managing a portfolio of complex projects and consistently delivering measurable results, such as significant cost savings, revenue growth, or performance improvements.
- Proven track record of leading teams, problem solving, performance analysis, and utilizing program management techniques.
- Exceptional ability to influence and align senior executive stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and quantitative problem-solving skills.
What will help you on the job
- Master's degree in Business or a technical field.
- Experience in the Aerospace & Defense, Telecommunications, or Technology industries.
- Direct functional expertise in Corporate Development, Mergers and Acquisitions, Go-to-Market strategy, Operations, Engineering program management, or IT transformation.
- Formal training and certification in process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred) or Agile.
Salary range
$177,500.00 - $280,000.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $221,000.00- $331,000.00/ annually
