About the Role

We’re looking for an API Developer / Integrations Engineer to lead the design and development of APIs and manage robust integrations with external systems. This role is key to extending our platform’s capabilities and ensuring seamless interoperability with partners, clients, and third-party services.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs that are secure, scalable, and easy to use.
  • Develop and manage integrations with external systems, such as third-party platforms, data providers, and SaaS tools.
  • Ensure API performance, versioning, documentation, and backward compatibility.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define integration requirements and architecture.
  • Implement authentication and authorization best practices (e.g., OAuth, API keys, JWT).
  • Monitor and maintain integration reliability, handling edge cases and error conditions gracefully.
  • Write clear technical documentation for internal and external developers.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in backend/API development or systems integration.
  • Strong proficiency in a modern backend language (e.g., Node.js, Python, Go, Java).
  • Experience designing and maintaining public and internal APIs at scale.
  • Familiarity with API management tools and practices (e.g., rate limiting, logging, analytics).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and deployment best practices.
  • Knowledge of data formats and transport protocols (e.g., JSON, XML, Webhooks, gRPC).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with API gateway and integration platforms (e.g., Kong, Apigee, Postman, Zapier, Workato).
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub).
  • Background in data transformation, ETL pipelines, or workflow orchestration.
