At Relativity Space, we’re building rockets to serve today’s needs and tomorrow’s breakthroughs. Our Terran R vehicle will deliver customer payloads to orbit, meeting the growing demand for launch capacity. But that’s just the start. Achieving commercial success with Terran R will unlock new opportunities to advance science, exploration, and innovation, pioneering progress that reaches beyond the known.

Joining Relativity means becoming part of something where autonomy, ownership, and impact exist at every level. Here, you're not just executing tasks; you're solving problems that haven’t been solved before, helping develop a rocket, a factory, and a business from the ground up. Whether you’re in propulsion, manufacturing, software, avionics, or a corporate function, you’ll collaborate across teams, shape decisions, and see your work come to life in record time. Relativity is a place where creativity and technical rigor go hand in hand, and your voice will help define the stories we’re writing together. Now is a unique moment in time where it’s early enough to leave your mark on the product, the process, and the culture, but far enough along that Terran R is tangible and picking up momentum. The most meaningful work of your career is waiting. Join us.

About the Team:

The EHS team carries a profound responsibility to keep people and the environments where we operate safe while we build the future. We're not here to slow things down; we're here to enable safe speed. At this stage in Relativity’s trajectory, you'll have the rare opportunity to shape how EHS is embedded in every process and decision, from the factory floor to the launch pad. We have a voice at every level, and we use it to build a culture where EHS isn’t just about compliance, but rather a shared responsibility amongst all employees.

About the Role:

  • Serve as the EHS representative for all infrastructure and construction projects on site.
  • Identify and solve issues in the field and attend all relevant Infrastructure meetings which involve scheduling and resources.
  • Spend ~70% of time onsite, engaging with project teams, identifying hazards, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Conduct construction safety inspections, observations, and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA, company policies, and contractor requirements.
  • Provide expert guidance on construction safety standards, including fall protection, equipment safety, excavation/trenching, and contractor management.
  • Deliver safety training and toolbox talks tailored to construction and infrastructure activities.
  • Spend ~30% of time developing, improving, and rolling out EHS programs and training initiatives.
  • Lead or support incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation for construction-related events.
  • Collaborate with contractors, facilities, and engineering teams to proactively address safety challenges.
  • Mentor the site contractor safety technician.

About You:

  • 5–8 years of progressive EHS experience, with a strong focus on construction safety.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead infrastructure and construction safety initiatives in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience mentoring and guiding safety staff.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA construction standards (29 CFR 1926) and related regulations.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Training.
  • Hands-on, proactive problem solver who thrives in the field and collaborates effectively across teams.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to influence and enforce compliance diplomatically.

Nice to haves but not required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • CSP, CHST, or other professional safety certifications.
  • Previous aerospace, industrial, or large-scale construction project experience.
  • Experience delivering construction-specific safety training and contractor orientation programs.
