About The Role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer focused on deployables, you will entirely own the design and analysis of high-performance structures that deploy our first in-space reflectors. The ideal candidate will have engineering experience with structures, spacecraft and composites.
Responsibilities
Design our first deployable satellite structures, from concept to in-space performance validation.
Perform analysis that supports design decisions including hand calcs, finite element analysis, dynamics and vibration analysis.
Iterate and prototype frequently to ground designs in reality and characterize performance.
Test and validate structural components and designs for flight readiness.
Qualifications
Strong analytical command of structures design.
Prior experience designing, developing and qualifying high performance, mass optimized structures.
Experience with composites design and fabrication.
