See open jobs at Ready.See open jobs similar to "Hardware Engineer" SpaceTalent.Ready is hiring a detail-oriented and systems-savvy Hardware Systems Engineer to help build and scale our Hypercube product—a distributed compute system at the intersection of hardware, software, and AI infrastructure. You’ll design and test physical compute nodes while writing the embedded software that enables them to operate cohesively. This is a full-stack hardware role with a strong software integration emphasis.
About your role at Ready ⚡️
Lead hardware design and prototyping for the Ready Hypercube platform, supporting distributed compute and AI workloads.
Collaborate with software engineers to build robust firmware, low-level drivers, and device interfaces.
Contribute to board bring-up, embedded Linux environments, and integration testing.
Simulate and validate performance, thermal, and electrical characteristics of new hardware architectures.
Write system-level software in Python, C/C++, or Rust for tooling, diagnostics, and orchestration layers.
Document design tradeoffs, testing protocols, and integration processes for institutional knowledge.
Participate in multi-disciplinary sprints to ensure hardware and software evolve together.
Stay on top of emerging trends in edge compute, AI hardware, and embedded systems to guide future innovation.
A bit about you 🥇
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
3+ years of experience in hardware development with exposure to embedded or distributed systems.
Proficiency with firmware development and embedded operating systems.
Skilled in writing and debugging system-level software for hardware integration.
Familiarity with low-level protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, PCIe) and debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
Experience working across teams to align physical and digital system requirements.
Bonus: Exposure to AI accelerators, RISC-V, FPGAs, or hardware observability tooling.
