The Tax Finance Tax Corp & SSL Director for Hispanos Countries and Corp will be responsible for tax operations in Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. At the same time, this person will be in charge of corporate taxes and structures, mainly US and Europe-based holding companies.



Technical and leadership skills are crucial to cover this strategic function, guiding the team of 10 people over the countries to the best-in-class tax operation while pushing for new tax opportunities.

As part of Rappi, you will be responsible for:

• Tax compliance: under this function are all tax compliance processes for countries and corp, which include:

- Tax returns for indirect taxes.

- Tax returns for direct taxes.

- Transfer pricing reports, supported by B4 companies.

- US tax returns

• Tax audits:

- This role will be responsible for attending tax authorities in audit procedures, and addressing Rappi’s operations and strategies.

• Tax planning:

- A crucial role of this function is to map optimization opportunities either around the focus countries or globally speaking. Being the corp tax responsible, controlling ETR and mapping forms to drive its reduction is one important mission of this Sr. Tax Manager.

• Process and technology:

- Operational excellence is the base of health for our tax team. It is important to have an E2E vision and be curious about new technology that could leverage our operation.

• Leadership:

- The Tax Sr Manager will be the leader of professionals around all the countries that is responsible for. Important to establish ways of working with the team, using technology to connect and develop people.

• Point of contact with business and corp:

- A real tax function is close to business to identify expositions, and opportunities and to drive better decisions for each challenge that will arise.

Good and now, what are the requirements for me to be part of this neon universe?

The ideal candidate will bring experience working in fast-paced and complex environments solving problems and building efficient processes. This person will be able to manage several work streams and initiatives simultaneously and effectively navigate a complex and ambiguous environment. The candidate must also be a strong relationship builder to manage stakeholder expectations.

A strong track record of discipline, attention to detail, and high standards are necessary to get the finance operation running. They must be curious and resourceful with a hands-on style with the ability to work with scarce resources, handle everyday issues, and have the vision to shape longer-term improvements.

Experience:

• 7-10 years experience. Law school, accounting, and alike.
• Experience in multi-countries functions.
• Have managed high-performing teams.
• Accounting and financial analysis.

Skills:

• Strong analytical skills, fast learner, and eagerness to get things done.
• Curious, strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Advanced excel.
• Spanish native and advanced English.
