Quest Defense Systems & Solutions (QDSS) is seeking a Manufacturing Planner II to manage and lead the acquisition and manufacturing of Test Equipment. The Manufacturing Planner II will resolve test equipment and prototype manufacturing issues based on knowledge of the engineering design, need, and final intended application. This position includes generating and monitoring the progression of multiple requisitions through the procurement cycle, facilitating resolution of procurement issues, and ensuring items are delivered to meet customers’ schedule.
Due to the nature of the project, all applicants must be U.S. citizens and must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
This role is on-site, and all candidates must be in Tucson, AZ, or willing to relocate there.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively contributes to the design, acquisition, and manufacturing of complex test equipment including cables, chassis, electro/mechanical fixtures.
- Participating in engineering design reviews
- Manage and maintain build configuration and quality history records
- Acquire, track, manage material from procurement through final delivery of completed test sets
Required Qualifications:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of two (2) years prior relevant experience interpreting engineering drawings related to electrical instrumentation, assemblies, cables, chassis, electro/mechanical fixtures.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering lab environment area
- Experience with material procurement
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong organization, coordination, planning, teaming skills, as well as written and oral communication skills.
- Experience working with test equipment or prototype engineering hardware
- Experience maintaining configuration control of products and drawings
