This role is onsite in either West Palm Beach, FL or East Hartford, CT. Due to the nature of these roles, applicants must be US Citizens and either hold or be able to obtain security clearance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Advance and maintain complex jet engine and aircraft system components and assemblies using Siemens NX Drafting and/or Model Based Definition (MBD).
  • Create or modify 2D concepts, detail drawings, layouts, and 3D CAD solid models and assemblies in Siemens NX or equivalent, with Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) while supporting Bill of Materials development.
  • Apply ASME Y14.5M 2018 GD&T standards and review drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer and aerospace industry drafting and manufacturing requirements.
  • Perform and interpret tolerance stack-up analysis results to ensure proper fit, alignment, and performance of complex aircraft assemblies
  • Be familiar with engineering tools like: CADIQ, MBDVida, TDPaaS, PMI Advisor, BCT and NX Checkmate
  • Maintain proper documentation, data control, and export classification for drawings and related data
  • Support product design reviews and coordinate with other disciplines like project management, design engineering, and manufacturing teams
  • Demonstrate strong team collaboration, communication and problem-solving skills with a technical leader while meeting strict deadlines
  • Attention to detail and strict adherence to the design process for successful realization of well-defined products for manufacture by our demanding customers and their supply chain.

Required Skills:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology; some intern coop experience would be an advantage
  • Experience and strong computer literacy with drafting, CAD modeling and product life cycle (PLM) tools
  • Working Knowledge of ASME Y14.5M 2018 GD&T standards
  • S. citizenship is required to support classified programs and eligibility for a security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Department of War (DOW) security clearance. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a government investigation/reinstatement and meeting all clearance requirements

Desired Skills:

  • S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with1-4 years of product definition/CAD experience
  • Experience with Siemens NX CAD Drafting and MBD and Teamcenter PLM in the design or definition of mechanical engine components and assemblies
  • Possess a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.
  • Substantial amounts of telephone, video conferencing and computer work.
  • Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
  • Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
  • Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM
  • Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.

Full compensation package is based on candidate experience and certifications

$73,645$88,000 USD
