Mechanical Engineer - Secret Clearance

Quest Defense Systems and Solutions is growing and looking to add Senior Mechanical Engineers to be responsible for designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining complex test environment systems Client effector products.
Due to the nature of the project all applicants must be US Citizens and be located or willing to relocate to Scottsdale, AZ.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Research, plan, design and develop mechanical test systems in areas including vibration, thermal, hydraulic, radio frequency, and electro-optical
- Integrate and validate test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirements
- Evaluate production installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
- Minimum of five (5) years of technical / engineering experience in mechanical design and/or production support .
- Minimum of three (3) years experience with CAD solid modeling tools and/or analysis tools with an emphasis on ProE / CREO Parametric.
- Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD & T) analysis .
- US Citizen - Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Design experience with mechanical and electronic packaging.
- Experience with Configuration Management processes, application, and tools (e.g., Windchill / cPDM).
- Experience in mechanical sub-systems packaging, materials, thermal analysis, structural analysis, control systems, electrical hardware design, or large assembly development.
- Experience with environmental stress screening of hardware (e.g., vibration, shock, thermal, etc.).
- Systems engineering experience.
- Experience with basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching less experienced professionals, and process execution.
