Roles & Responsibilities:
• Designing and implementing supporting structures to mount I&C electronic hardware for safety related systems at Nuclear Power Plants
• Technical problem solving, strong design skills, understanding of codes and standards, and effective communication/collaboration with other teams
• Understanding system requirements, including EMC, Seismic, and other applicable standards.
• Electrical schematic creation, design of connector panels, wire harnesses, cable routing, connector selection
• Support technical substantiation, contribute & present in technical and program reviews
• Develop components and modules keeping cost, performance, life, and system requirements in mind
• 2D & 3D Design and Analysis of the component using CAE tools (Inventor, AutoCAD)
• Apply technical principles, theories, and concepts to solve a wide range of challenging engineering problems
• Evaluate form, fit, function and life of the components relative to the certified configuration
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
We’re excited to talk to you if your qualifications meet the following criteria:
• 5+ years of experience in modeling/drafting in design of space cabinets/electrical components, schematics
• Minimum BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering from an accredited university
• Due to the nature of the work, a US Citizenship or US Person status is required.
• Working knowledge of computer aided design (CAD), computer aided manufacturing (CAM), manufacturing processes with Inventor and AutoCAD
• Experience with coding conventions, unit testing and integration testing of control cabinets and chassis.
• Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) as it relates to individual parts and overall assemblies (ANSI Y14.5).
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, work under time constraints, maintain composure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to interact with employees/managers at all levels with strong oral and written communication skills
• Project Management experience is desired, but not required
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Like to work in a fast paced, creative environment

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
• Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.
• Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
• Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
• Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
• Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM
• Hybrid/Remote work possible, but must have ability to use personal transportation to visit customer location as necessary. If remote, will consist of travel.
