Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities Include, but not limited to:

  • Under minimal supervision, check drawings and models for completeness from product definition team to ensure standards are met and product can be manufactured.
  • A skilled GD&T specialist who can collaborate with the Product Definition and Mechanical Design disciplines on inspecting model inputs for correctness and conformance
  • Familiar with standards ASME Y14.5 and ASME Y14.41 and how they relate to the definition of jet engine parts like: compressors, combustor/diffuser, turbine parts including airfoils, turbine exhaust nozzles, mechanical systems, externals and more.
  • Verify complete accuracy of parametric 3D Siemens NX models and their definition. Definition could be 2D associative drawing definition or Model Based Definition (MBD) as required and include PMI (Product Manufacturing Information)
  • Maintain product related Teamcenter/NX Manager data in support of Engineering activities.
  • Participate as team Product Definition delegate and ensure accurate part interrelationships through tolerance and geometric studies

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s of Science degree in Engineering, Technology, or Drafting
  • 5 years or more of CAD/drafting/product definition experience
  • Proficient skills in ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • Active US Government Security Clearance at a Secret Level or the ability to obtain one

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Siemens NX CAD and Teamcenter PLM tools and processes or equivalents
  • Strong communication and team skills with gas turbine or jet engine experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ASME Y14.41 (Digital Product Definition Data Practices) a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a consistent record of collaboration, innovation, and initiative (added)
  • Experience with MS Office products

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.
  • Substantial amounts of telephone, video conferencing and computer work.
  • Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
  • Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
  • Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM
  • Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
