We are seeking a skilled and motivated Assembly, Integration & Test (AI&T) Technician to join our team. The AI&T Technician will be responsible for hands-on assembly, integration, and testing of mechanical and electromechanical systems for aerospace and high-performance applications. This role involves close collaboration with engineers and technicians to assemble hardware, perform system-level integrations, conduct functional and environmental tests, and maintain a clean, organized work environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and thrives in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment.

Where You’ll Make an Impact

  • Assemble and integrate complex mechanical and electromechanical systems according to engineering drawings, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Perform fit checks, torque applications, bonding, fastener installation, and precision alignment operations.
  • Assist with electrical and mechanical integration activities, including cabling, routing, and subsystem mating.
  • Support functional and environmental testing (vibration, thermal, leak, or vacuum testing) under engineer direction.
  • Document build processes, integration steps, and test data accurately in accordance with company procedures.
  • Identify and report non-conformances, assist in rework, and support troubleshooting activities.
  • Maintain assembly tooling, fixtures, and test equipment in calibrated and operational condition.
  • Follow all ESD, FOD, and safety procedures to ensure a controlled and compliant work area.
  • Work collaboratively with mechanical, electrical, and test engineers to meet program goals and schedules.

What It Takes

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, integration, or testing (aerospace, defense, or high-tech manufacturing preferred).
  • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Proficient with hand tools, torque wrenches, precision measuring instruments, and test equipment.
  • Experience working in a cleanroom or controlled environment a plus.
  • Familiarity with basic mechanical and electrical systems and safe handling of flight or precision hardware.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and adherence to procedures.
  • Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and perform repetitive assembly tasks safely and efficiently.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency (if required by contract).

Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Experience assembling or testing aerospace flight hardware or satellite subsystems.
  • Knowledge of mechanical fasteners, adhesives, and torque specifications.
  • Experience with environmental testing, such as vibration, shock, or thermal vacuum.
  • Familiarity with data collection systems and test instrumentation.
  • Certification in IPC, NASA-STD-8739, or equivalent assembly standards is a plus.
