Quantum Space was founded to lead the next Space frontier with the development of our QuantumNet constellation. As part of the Quantum team, you will be a key contributor to the future of space-based data and logistics services via our state-of-the-art spacecraft platforms.

Quantum Space is actively seeking a Head of Capital Formation to lead our financial growth initiatives and manage our Investor Relations (IR). This critical role involves developing and executing sophisticated fundraising strategies, enhancing investor relations, and expanding our financial networks. The Head of Capital Formation will work directly with the CEO and senior management to secure funding necessary for pioneering projects and strategic expansion.

The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of finance and investment within the technology and aerospace industries, backed by a proven track record of successful capital raising and a strong network of institutional and strategic investors.

Job Description

  • Lead the fundraising strategy for Quantum Space, including developing and executing fundraising plans to secure investments from a variety of sources.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with global venture capital and private equity investors, as well as pension funds, endowments, foundations, family offices, and sovereign wealth fund senior decision-makers, and their consultants.
  • Establish and maintain a robust network of investors by actively managing a portfolio of relationships through regular communication, networking events, and other outreach efforts.
  • Take ownership of the engagement strategy with existing investors, maintaining regular communication and engagement to ensure ongoing support and involvement.
  • Develop and implement best-in-class tools, systems, and processes to ensure the efficient operation of the investment office.
  • Develop relationships with new potential foreign and domestic venture capital firms, institutional investors, family offices and HNW individuals to invest in Quantum Space and our capital initiatives.
  • Expand Quantum Space’s current roster of investors consisting of venture capital, family offices, foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
  • Support Quantum Space’s goals of growth and expansion by effectively representing the company to new investors and partners while assisting senior management in developing growth strategies.
  • Develop and create fund/deal presentations, and spearhead efforts that support the growth of Quantum Space’s investor base.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field and a minimum of 5-10 years of demonstrated experience in fundraising, investment banking, private equity, or placement agency.
  • Extensive track record of raising and closing capital from diverse capital sources.
  • Experience in aerospace industry
  • Prior experience raising capital in the United States, Canada, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and/or Middle East.
  • Deep industry relationships both domestic & international.
  • Proven long-term ability to meet or exceed a myriad of deadlines that have multiple moving parts without losing attention to detail.
  • Natural ability to connect, relate and persuade others.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Tremendous record of overachieving personally and professionally.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Foreign language a plus.
