Psionic Inc. is seeking a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) who can effectively work with the Product Development group and the Sales and Marketing team to position SurePath™ as the leader in the industry as the world's most accurate LiDAR based navigation solution in GPS contested environments for the Space, Commercial and Defense markets. The successful Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be responsible for driving sales activities within assigned territory by managing an internal sales team, providing sales forecasts, ensuring sales revenue and profit growth, analyzing market trends and monitoring pricing objectives. Provide direction, leadership, coaching and mentoring for manufacturing sales representatives and advance their professional development, conduct, sales effectiveness and efficiency. Educate the key customer base with technology training and personal interface. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate the desire and ability to identify business needs, areas of improvement and objectives through research and data backed decision making that will empower them to make recommendations on appropriate business initiatives. This role will be responsible for furthering existing customer relationships, as well as, hunting for new opportunities with high value customers. Based in Hampton, VA, this position will report to the Vice President of Sales for the SurePath™ product line.
Position Responsibilities:
- The RSM is responsible for overseeing and driving sales efforts within a designated geographic region
- Create and execute comprehensive sales plans tailored to the specific region, including identifying potential customers, market analysis, and competitor assessment.
- Manage and motivate a team of sales representatives, providing coaching, performance feedback, and support to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Analyze sales data to forecast future sales trends, identify areas of improvement, and generate accurate sales reports for senior management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the region, addressing their needs and concerns to foster loyalty and repeat business.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the region to expand customer base and revenue streams.
- Work closely with other departments like marketing, customer service, and operations to ensure seamless customer experience.
- Deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients, highlighting product features and benefits.
Desired Education & Experience:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check
- Experience with navigation sensor and system products.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
- BS degree or higher in Engineering or technical field (mathematics, physics, etc.).
- Proven track record of successful sales management in a regional setting
- Strong leadership and team building skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Analytical skills to interpret sales data and identify trends
- Ability to build strong customer relationships
- Deep understanding of the sales process and market dynamics
- Proficiency in SalesForce automation tools and CRM systems
- MS Project, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint working knowledge.
