Location: DC metro or CO preferred; remote considered with travel as required
Clearance: Active TS/SCI strongly preferred; eligible minimum for CI Poly

Position Description

The Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of awarded programs, with accountability for cost, schedule, and performance across awarded programs. The Project Manager will serve as the main point of contact for the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and Government Program Manager (GPM), managing scope, schedule, cost, risk, and compliance.

A critical aspect of this role is the ability to leverage technical experience in domains such as computer vision, geospatial analytics, signals intelligence, space situational awareness, analysis of space objects, and machine learning operations.

The Project Manager must possess the technical acumen to guide the development, integration, and operational deployment of these capabilities, and to clearly articulate their value and application within Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), Space Force, Army, Navy, and Air Force environments. This technical leadership is essential to ensuring program success and delivering mission-critical solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7+ years of project/program management experience on U.S. Federal (DoD/IC) contracts.
  • Ability to explain the developmental application, integration, and operational use of these capabilities in DoD/IC contexts is essential.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams—including engineering, product, contracts, finance, and business development—and to coordinate with subcontractors and data providers.
  • Direct experience successfully executing SBIR/STTR programs (Phase I/II/III).
  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and common vehicles (OTA, IDIQ, BOA, SBIRs, CSO).
  • Security & compliance familiarity: DD254, CUI/NOFORN/ITAR, NIST 800-171, RMF/ATO, POA&M tracking.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; experience briefing internal executives and government stakeholders.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or information systems, or engineering, or business, or related scientific or technical discipline
  • PMP or DAWIA (Level II/III) (will accept experience and preparing to sit for the PMP within 60 days of start date).
  • Background in GEOINT/Space/SIGINT or mission software programs and applications.
  • Demonstrated technical understanding and/or hands-on experience in one or more of the following domains: computer vision, geospatial analytics, signals intelligence methods and processes, space situational awareness, conjunction analysis of space objects, and machine learning operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in business development and program growth within federal/defense sectors is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with data-provider agreements and supplier management.
  • Awareness of federal planning/budget cycles (PPBE/POM) and Phase III commercialization.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Google Workspace, MS Project (or equivalent), GitLab, Confluence, Excel, and PowerPoint.
