Job Description
Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Operations – Construction Manager is responsible for providing functional leadership to plan, direct, and coordinate test cell projects from the beginning of work on a quotation until final acceptance of the work scope while working with other relevant departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide functional leadership for the construction of test cell projects (Turnkey and non-Turnkey) and civil works portions of equipment projects
- Plan assigned construction projects and related activities from the beginning of work on a quotation until final acceptance of the work scope, such that construction projects are executed per schedule and achieve company goals and objectives
- Actively participate in a continuous improvement culture providing recommendations and implementing enhancements to current methods and procedures
- Compile and submit regular reports as requested by the scheduled due date
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Education/Experience:
- BS Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or a related field required.
- 3 years of closely related experience required.
Qualifications:
- Work will be assigned to a Project located at any location worldwide, and residence near the job site is required for 1 - 2 years
- Strong communication and influencing skills to manage and lead change aligning people behind the direction of the company
- Track record of leading and advancing construction management processes to elevate the company's competitive advantage
- Demonstrated ability to make timely strategic decisions balancing analysis with decisiveness
- History of technical achievements leading to a track record of initiating continuous improvement efforts and promoting corporate quality
- Being fluent in French, German, Arabic, Spanish or Chinese will be an advantage
