Job Description
The VP, Operations has responsibility for driving operational performance and ongoing business operations, including manufacturing and industrialization and serves as the key member of the executive team.
- Sets and drives operations strategy and vision, translates strategy into actionable steps for growth.
- Drive operational performance and improvements, including quality, production standards and utilization, HSE, operational excellence, cost savings initiatives, lean manufacturing, on-time production and delivery, etc.
- Contributes to the Organization's long-term goals to ensure growth and stability within the production organization; develops and evaluates strategies to address destabilization within the current physical site locations.
- Provides focus on improving management of product transfer activities.
- Evaluates existing processes across multiple functional areas and develops efficiencies and performance improvement plans.
- Tracks and reports on operating results to ensure consistent growth and progress towards achieving organizational goals.
- Represents the Organization in meetings with customers, regulatory agencies, and other external parties.
- Aligns department strategy and direction with the overall goals of the Organization.
- Develops policies, practices, and procedures that have significant impact on the organization.
- Serves as the change agent to ensure preparedness for future operational growth.
- Coordinates operational activities, including manufacturing, industrialization, facilities management, Security and HSE. Production locations located in New Jersey, Mississippi and Chihuahua, Mexico
- Builds and maintains trusting relationships with team members, supports development of inclusive culture.
- Manages organizational operational risks through coordination with various functions of the Organization, ensures focus on business continuity.
- Ensures compliance with ethical standards of the Organization in managing business operations, takes appropriate actions, when necessary.
Job Requirements
15 or more years of relevant professional experience
Masters degree, preferred
Leadership skills, management skills, ability to drive strategic direction.
Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Operational Excellence
Risk and Crisis Management
Excellent oral, written, and communication skills.
