Job Description

Based in New Delhi, within the Military Engines division of Safran Aircraft Engines, you will work closely with the Sales team and with the Customer Support team in charge of India to drive a unified approach, for optimal results and to enhance customer satisfaction.

Drawing upon your strong knowledge of the Indian Armed Forces as well as the Ministry of Defense and all necessary parties in India, you will be responsible for the following main missions pertaining to the Indian Armed Forces military engines programs (M53 and M88). You will provide top-tier customer support, balancing Safran's interest while strengthening strong customer relationship.


Commercial activities, in particular:
- Support development and promote Safran military engines products and services;
- Participate in defining the customer annual procurement and support budgets;
- Collect necessary customer data to prepare offers;
- Submit unsolicited offers and tenders responses; follow-up on submissions;
- Support contractual negotiations and expedite contractual signatures;
- Ensure timely issuance of credit documents, on-time payments & expedite outstanding payments.

Support activities, in particular:
- Partner with the Customer Support Team in France to perform ongoing service agreements;
- Coordinate and manage support customer inquiries and demands;
- Proactively identify and address emerging concerns to reduce the risk of complaints;
- Collaborate with internal teams in France to enhance services offerings and align with industry-leading standards;
- Coordinate third-party resources and capabilities;
- Monitor customer satisfaction levels and share constructive insights with both customer and internal teams promoting a continuous enhancement of services.
Institutional & customer relations, in particular:
- Maintain a strong relationship and enhance company image;
- Support navigating customer organization and expedite customer support;
- Secure and facilitate regular visits and meetings with key stakeholders including Customer Support team, Sales team and Safran senior officials;
- Support in aligning and reviewing customer requirements and expectations;
- Develop customer intimacy and customer knowledge to identify opportunities.

Business intelligence, in particular:
- Monitor and report changes pertaining to leadership, budget, procurement, regulations;
- Provide strategic guidance and consolidate team's knowledge of customer structures;
- Conduct briefings to build awareness as necessary;
- Share your understanding of procurement principles and processes;
- Build insights on local defense manufacturers and competition.

Job Requirements

- Analytical skills and negotiation capabilities;
- Intercultural and collaborative mindset;
- Strong communication capabilities in English; Hindi and/or French languages are a plus;
- Effective and assertive communication with all internal and external parties;
- Ability to work discreetly and maintain high confidentiality;
- Knowledge of aircraft engines maintenance;
- An experience as an officer within the Indian Armed Forces with at least twenty-five years of service is a valuable addition;
- Ability to work in a corporate environment;
- Good understanding of the industrial aerospace and defense sectors;
- Prior experience in corporate advisory is a plus.
