What does the role look like?

We've got an exciting opportunity for a Project Planner to join our team at Safran Actuation Systems in Wolverhampton.

In this role, you'll be right at the heart of our programmes — supporting multiple projects, keeping things on track, and making sure our planning, data, and reporting run like clockwork. You'll work closely with the Programme Excellence Manager and wider team, with real responsibility for shaping how we deliver.

What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?

• Support the Project Manager with implementation of Project Planning & Control structures, within a Gated Review process, and regular Project governance structure.

• Utilise advanced Project Management Tools & Techniques, to create full life cycle, costed Project Plans within MS Project Server environment

• Maintain regular schedule governance, to ensure accurate real-time reporting, tracking to Project Baselines, and ensuring Business Process compliance.

• Conduct project control & monitoring tasks on behalf of Programme Managers, and work alongside Integrated project Team leads to maintain status in alignment with Project governance plans.

• Regularly gather, analyse and distribute KPIs associated with the Project performance, including Earned Value, Factored Risk, and Estimate to Complete

• Support key project governance meetings such as Risk, Schedule, or Change Management review, with accurate up to date information & data.

• Support Project data generation and reporting for internal leadership & external customer reviews

• Supports governance of project via the PROMPT business process.

Job Requirements

What will you bring to the role?

Essential skills:

• Experience and working knowledge of the following applications is a pre-requisite
o MS Office Suite
o MS Project, and MS Project Server
o Tableau
o SAP

• Data driven with a keen eye for detail

• Good communicator, with clear open two-way communication skills, to expresses thoughts effectively and convincingly across the IPDT and beyond.

Desirable skills:

• Highly motivated, with a keen ability to use own initiative

• Enacts work in a structured and analytical manner, with high level of attention to detail.

• Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills.

• Develop positive relationships within multiple Integrated project Team Environments.

• Employ appropriate communication mechanisms to interact with others.

• Influence others within the work area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.

• Customer focus - Understand key stakeholder needs and how to support them through their activities
