Job Title: Grinding Operator
Department: Special Process

Position Objective
To perform precision grinding operations on aerospace components using advanced CNC/programmable machines, ensuring adherence to customer specifications, quality standards, and production targets.

Key Responsibilities
Operate and set up 5-axis CNC/programmable cylindrical grinding machines for aerospace parts.

Ensure compliance with engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer process requirements.

Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, snap gauges, bore gauges, height gauges,).

Maintain 5S, safety, and housekeeping standards in the work area.

Conduct basic machine troubleshooting and basic 1st level maintenance.

Optimize setups and suggest improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.

Maintain all necessary documentation including routers, record sheets, tooling lists, and maintenance logs.

Train and mentor junior operators or trainees in grinding operations.

Ensure all equipment, documents, and work areas remain audit-ready.

Qualifications & Experience
Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering (or equivalent).

6–8 years of hands-on experience in precision grinding within aerospace or high-precision manufacturing.

Strong knowledge of 5-axis CNC/programmable cylindrical grinding operations.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings.

Proficient with precision inspection tools and gauges.

Experience in machine troubleshooting and process optimization preferred.
