The Finance Director position is accountable for the planning, forecasting and monitoring of the company's financial performance, to include the development of a financial and operational metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of internal control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results while ensuring full transparency over the financial performance of the Reporting Unit. The Finance Director serves as the leader of the Reporting Unit's Finance and Accounting team.

Safran Aerosystems Oxygen Systems US (AVOX Systems Inc) is a U.S. based Safran Company located in Lancaster, NY that designs, manufactures and services oxygen life support respiratory systems, related personal protective equipment, and aircraft accessories for the aviation and government markets. Safran Aerosystems Oxygen Systems US functions as a part of Safran, with international locations. We provide innovative oxygen solutions to the aircraft industry.
For 90+ years, Safran Aerosystems Oxygen Systems US (formerly Scott Aviation) has been a supplier of respiratory systems and components for aviation use.

Qualifications

Desired Qualifications: The Finance Director should have a Master's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience and 10+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large aerospace corporation. Should have experience in partnering with an executive team and have a high level of written and oral communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with an MBA in Finance and Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA or CPA) or equivalent.
Candidate should have strong Cost Accounting knowledge to monitor Industrial Performance and aid in robust forecasting.
Additional Qualifications: Requires 10 years of management experience working with a team of 8+ members. Experience working in a cross-functional/international team environment preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist in formulating the company's future strategic direction and supporting tactical initiatives.
• Monitors and directs the implementation of the Mid-Term Plan in concert with Operational teams
• Manage working capital, CAPEX requests, budgeting and Rolling Forecast (ROFO) processes
• Develops performance measures that support and track the company's strategic implementation.
• Provide monitoring support on industrial performance (Efficiency and Productivity) and manage Cost Accounting for the RU.
• Update and implement all necessary Group Policies and best practices
• Assist with preparation for strategic multi-year sales proposals for OEM, Military and Aftermarket customers.
• Build and maintain strong relations with all members of the management team
• In collaboration with the Divisional CFO, manage the accounting, legal, tax, and local treasury functions in accordance with all Group policies and procedures
• Oversee and lead budgeting and planning process in conjunction with department heads
• Review all business plans and pricing proposals within delegation limits
• Monitor progress and keep senior leadership team abreast of the organization's financial status, including through monthly internal reporting packages
• Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with Internal Control and external auditors
• Maintain relations with internal and external auditors & investigate their findings & recommendations
