(Internship) - Development of an elasto-visco-plastic modeling method for combustor design F/H
Job Description
In the heart of the Technical Direction and more specifically in the Combustion and Nozzle Design Office, you will be integrated in the Combustor Development Team.
The Combustion Design Office is in charge of designing, specifying and integrating combustors for military and civil applications.
One of the key requirements for a combustor is to ensure mechanical durability.
In the design phase, predicting combustor durability is challenging. Particularly because complexe elasto-visco-plastic (EVP) computations are needed.
In this context, the combustion design office is developping a new methodology for improved and simpler EVP computations.
Under the supervision of a mechanical engineer, you will contribute to testing, implementing and improving this methodology.
Job Requirements
You have or are preparing a masters degree in aeronautical engineering, with a specialization in mechanics.
You like technical challenges and are familiar with finite element method.
But what else? (advantages, specific features, etc.)
You will join a passionate and dynamic team of motivated aeronautical engineers.
The internship is located at the Safran Aircraft Engine Villaroche plant, south of Paris. Free bus services are provided by the company to get to Villaroche from Paris or nearby town Melun. For breakfast and lunch, three different cafeterias serve a variety of fresh and local food.
