Job Description

This position contributes to our vision by:
Supervises and provides leadership to a team of Machine Shop Associates, Welders/Brazers and Machinists and Leads in the Machine Shop (metal heat treatment, summa/passivation process, tumbling/deburring, tube bending, etc.) Conflex, Bending, Braiding, Extrusion and Welding/Brazing Cells
Ensures all Safety Policies are enforced and that proactive “near miss” reporting is encouraged
Establishes and Documents the Core Competencies and expectations of Direct Reports
Develops and maintains appropriate KPI's and Targets for the Work Centers responsible for
Facilitates efforts to continually improve processes within the Work Centers responsible for
Collaborates with the Planning Team on efficient load for work and throughput to meet Customer requirements
Works with Planning on a monthly basis to assess Capacity requirements to meet production objectives, while balancing productivity, efficiency, and overtime
As necessary, expedites orders where our standard lead-times do not meet Customer requirements; coordinates this activity with Planning
Collaborates with Manufacturing Engineering Manager on Technologies and Machines requiring Engineering support or Processes requiring Industrialization
Supports Proto, Tooling, Fixtures, and Mold requirements for new Product introductions and new technologies
Monitors MO's completed, tracks Variances to Standards, and works with Finance on needed adjustments to Standard Times
Calls “risk assessment” meetings as needed, providing objectives and documenting actions, owners, and timelines
Actively involved in equipment and headcount capacity analysis and responsible to ensure that capacity is in place
Collaborates with support departments to analyze and determine root cause analysis (i.e. customer quality complaints)

Prefers a College Degree or Equivalent Experience
Strong knowledge of Lathe's, Mill's, Summa, and all machines/tools in support of Work Centers - Advanced
Strong excel skills - Basic
Strong Analytical Skills - Basic
Strong M3 and able to use Hyperion Reports desirable - Advanced
Strong verbal and written Skills - Advanced
Able to construct Professional emails and documents - Advanced
Basic math to determine percentages - Basic
