As a key part of our MRO operations, the Supervisor will lead & manage a diverse team to facilitate the flow of work & tactical delivery of parts through processes (from Launch to Distribution Centre Delivery) in support production plans.

We are a global leader in aircraft landing and braking systems, from commercial and business travel to military and defence fleets. Our expertise cover the entire life cycle of our products from end-to-end: design, manufacturing, maintenance and repair.

What will I be doing?

• Supervise the Gate 1 and Gate 2 teams, taking accountable for (and to elect & supervise) dedicated focals in your area to control key processes including 5S, Calibration, Maintenance, Health & Safety, Tooling and GPI's.
• Ensure effective people management and to support performance & operational management, training, time and behaviours.
• Ensure that works procedures and SOP's are adhered to at all times.
• Take accountability for Continuous Improvement initiatives including process mapping, kaizen events, 5S etc.
• Champion adherence to the Airworthiness regulations and ensure compliance via robust and accurate works procedure reviews.

Job Requirements

What do I need to succeed in the role?
• Demonstrable experience of leading & managing a high performing team (ideally within an engineering environment).
• A working knowledge of lean principles, to Green Belt level, and how to deploy these effectively to leverage continuous improvement within a defined area of control.
• The ability to adopt an efficient 'hands-on' approach as appropriate.
• Capable of interpreting and communicating KPI's and developing appropriate actions
• Familiarity of 8D and QRQC tools would be advantageous.
