Job Description
• Develop and maintain production plans for assigned area of SafranHE production operations.
• Build plans such that customer (external and internal) requirements can be met and shop efficiencies are maintained.
• Work around any/all capacity and material availability constraints.
• Continually analyze and reschedule work orders to ensure that output targets are consistently met.
• Develop “what-if” scenarios and production scheduling options necessary to support un-forecasted output requirement variations.
• Support ongoing efforts to reduce and control WIP.
• Lead meetings with department managers to review production plans.
• Track and report daily production schedule and output, and proactively advise management of potential issues which would negatively impact schedule and output.
Create schedules to achieve production goals and meet customer commitments.
• Coordinate the development of the area Production Schedule with the Operations Manager to verify manpower availability to execute schedule before official schedule is published.
• Confer with operations personnel to resolve problems affecting production schedule.
• Manage and monitor slotting adherence and accuracy.
• Manage and maintain accurate WIP target goals and thru-puts.
• Conduct conference calls with France to align Corporate Workload Balance.
• Work closely with Customer Support on a daily basis to insure KO assets are available for release into the pre-quote process.
• Initiate, participate, and/or monitor recovery plans necessary to meet production goals.
• Expedite orders and schedules based on customer expectations. Resolve unique circumstances in cooperation with customer liaison.
• Participate in daily production review meetings. Know EQE quantity, work order numbers, serial numbers, and other relevant data for each production phase in the assigned area. Be prepared to inform participants about issues and resolutions.
• Propose changes to process and procedures to improve efficiencies and on time delivery performance using the QRQC process.
• May act as a liaison with engineering support from SafranHE locations during audits and during the course of routine shop support activities.
• Manages or participates in internal investigations as directed by Quality department and/or management.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or a minimum of four years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in production scheduling, development of production plans, material requirements planning (MRP), and capacity analysis.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Kanban and other visual pull systems, and workflow processes.
• Advanced computer/software skills with knowledge in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel- including advanced Excel functionality such as pivot tables) and ERP (SAP would be a benefit).
• Knowledge of professional practices, sources of information, and rules and regulations that must be interpreted, adapted and applied to the unique requirements of the organization and process.
• Well organized with strong analytic skills. Attention to detail. Self motivated. Ability to multi-task is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proven ability to work effectively on a cross-functional team.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
