Job Description

The product engineer manages her/his assigned product in a production environment in order to achieve the global robustness of its production line.

He is the Key customer/CoE interface, responsible for coordination of technical issues, deliveries, quality and cost. He provides and manages the internal direction to meet customer requirements such as Yield, First Time Yield, deliveries and cost targets.
Owner of the product KPI's, he is able to calculate, evaluate and ensure correct measurement and tracking of each KPI on any topic related to the product assigned.
Support Production, Quality and Engineering to resolve non-conforming product issues and concerns on a daily basis, by ensuring that proper problem solving methodologies are applied and by leading the necessary projects to improve reactivity to in-process events.
Use statistical methods to evaluate current manufacturing capabilities of the product and to estimate future manufacturing requirements

Also, the product engineer will be in charge of preparing the production line to face a significant ramp-up on the forthcoming years. Including activities such as:
- performing the risk analysis with the pluri-disciplinary team
- optimize the current layout to implement new machines in a Lean way, with the support of the continuous improvement team
- lead the new machines investment & reception plan
- manage the budget of the project
