Job Description
Summary- Develops, implements and oversees policies, processes, and projects relating to preventative health, safety, environmental (HSE), ergonomics and occupational illnesses, and physical security. Coordinates HSE/Facility/Risks with site maintenance team along with coordination of related on-site service providers. Manage and continuously improve an effective HSE program and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Practice safe working techniques and re-enforce the safety policies, guidelines, and procedures as set out by the Company;
• Assist supervisors in planning, directing and managing the Health and Safety programs to ensure that everyone is conscious of and in compliance with all applicable legislations;
• Performs daily management of HSE process requirements at the facility. Makes routine facility tours and safety inspections to determine if safe work practices are being observed;
• Acts as a resource to staff and employees as an HSE subject matter expert;
• Liaison with ATS for daily and after hour FAC related issues;
• Perform inspection of emergency response equipment (fire extinguishers, eyewash solutions, AEDs, etc.) and coordinate with service providers the preventive and corrective services to the fire system.
• Coordinates with site Security / Ops team to ensure Gates and Door programing is current and secured during and after hours.
• Support continuous improvement of safety and environmental compliance practices for facility-wide activities; Recommend corrective actions where hazards exist;
• Supports the implementation and continued evolution of the maturity level of the Safran Standards, equivalent to ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001;
• Work with Export/Import Compliance Officer and Facilities/Security/Risk Manager to complete security assessments and associated reporting;
• Collaboration with Safran+ to develop, evaluate, and recommend process and equipment improvements to minimize the health and safety risk of personnel;
• Plans, coordinates, and performs HSE / FAC trainings, and corresponding testing;
• Support regulatory audits for the site; Act as an interface with local, state and federal regulatory authorities, establishing a strong relationship with all stakeholders;
• Lead a proactive effort in safety and environmental testing to assure regulatory compliance;
• Investigates accidents and assists with completion of accident/incident report forms when required; Assists HR with worker's compensation claims, if needed;
• Mitigate and effectively report and manage any injury claims; Lead root cause analysis investigation, and defining a course of action for mitigating risks and implementing corrective actions; Mitigate and effectively report and manage any injury claims;
• Manage and coordinate all site MOC (sec HSE Std 2.5) activity to ensure full execution and sign off; Work with HSE Std. 2.5 Sponsor Owner to ensure full compliance
Complementary Description
• Ensure the local deployment of the Energy Management System (EMS) in line with Company and GROUP objectives; Act as the local Energy Correspondent and/or Sponsor.
• Recordkeeping, data input, tracking, and analysis;
• Organizes and leads the health and safety committee, and the emergency response team through regular meetings.
• Oversees and manages the packaging, distribution, storage, treatment, and disposal of hazardous materials. Coordinate site emergency response and remediation activities related to working with hazardous materials;
• Ability to travel both internationally & domestically for workshops and training as needed;
• Other related duties may be assigned.

Job Requirements
Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational or Industrial Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Human Resources, Business, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of health, safety, environmental-related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (5 years total).
Knowledge/Skills
• Strong business acumen and successful at driving companies HSE initiatives
• Flexible team player who thrives in environments requiring ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
• Able to drive projects effectively for excellence against demanding targets in a complex, multi-disciplined environment
• Customer oriented and able to operate effectively in a high pressure environment and pressing customer deadlines
• Ability to build strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external customers
• Strong conflict management skills
• Software proficiency covering wide variety of applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Capable of working in a deadline-oriented environment
• Demonstrate common knowledge with managing worker's compensation programs
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of aerospace and MRO activities and associated regulations
• Experience in a manufacturing facility
• Experience supporting HSE / FAC audits highly desired. Experience with access control and video surveillance equipment beneficial.
Physical Demands:
• While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or manually move objects up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee frequently works in high, precarious places and is frequently exposed to extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions and could be subjected to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold and vibration.
• The noise level in the work environment could be unusually loud at times (protection will be provided).
