Head of Metrology/ Test Engineering

YOUR MAIN TASKS WILL INCLUDE:
- Lead, coach and develop the Metrology Engineering team (currently 6 employees)
- Collaboration in cross-functional project teams including development, product management and quality assurance
- Requirements review, designing and developing test setups and procedures, executing system tests, identifying and analyzing issues that arise during testing and creating test documentation.
- Responsible for managing and enhancing the Metrology Engineering test infrastructure with a focus on automation
- Responsible for the validation and verification of tools and products according to various standards, such as MIL-STDs
- Ensuring development projects are executed according to our development process and optimizing the process in regards to Metrology Engineering
- Collaboration within the Safran Group and with external test facilities
- Participation in the elaboration of the R&D Strategy and its implementation

Job Requirements

YOUR PROFILE:
- ETH/UNI/FH Master or Bachelor degree in a technical field
- Leadership personality with experience in leading a team in Metrology / Test Engineering
- Analytical mindset combined with a solution-oriented approach to identify and efficiently solve complex challenges.
- A proven understanding of technology (optics/physics, electronics, software, and mechanics) and technological trends within the field of test engineering
- Experience with requirements engineering (V-model) and application engineering
- Experience with test automation
- Fluency in German and English
