1. Objective:
Supervises the operation and performance of Production Control team, and materials dispatched and scheduled in work areas. Maintains high levels of employee efficiency, safety, training and development in assigned department. Works under general supervision.

2. Main Function Responsibilities:

A) Supervises routine activities of assigned personnel.
B) Communicates job responsibilities and duties including performance standards in assigned tasks.
C) Monitors routine operations ensuring conformance to company policies and procedures relating to moving parts, flow of parts and paperwork.
D) Coordinates with manufacturing supervision to ensure kit and shop order pulls support production schedules.
E) Communicates details pertaining to MO's, P.O.'s and follows up to confirm that delivery dates are obtainable.
F) Actively promotes safety in all areas.
G) Develops and maintains strong positive communication and working relations with other departments to maintain company goals.
H) Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises production control activities. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
I) Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
J) Maintains effective safety program to prevent injuries and lost time.
K) Performs other duties as assigned.


3. Education & Qualifications:

A) Associate's degree in a related business management or related engineering discipline or additional 3 years related supply chain years' experience in lieu of Associate's level degree to meet the education requirement.

4. Work Experience -Technical Knowledge:

A) In addition to the education requirement, must have 3 to 5 years' experience in material control environment, shipping/receiving, and material handling.

Job Requirements

5. Professional Skills:

A) Must have knowledge of MAPICS Computer System, specifically MRP, PMC, DUR, OEE, COM, PDM and IM Modules.
B) Must have knowledge of stock room/ material controlling, shipping/receiving requirement, and production scheduling.
C) Must have knowledge of policies, procedures and practices.
D) Ability to read and review written communication.
E) Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly.
F) Must have good personal computer skills including ability to use Microsoft Office suite.
G) Must understand the fundamentals or MRP and scheduling.


6. Behavioral Skills:

A) Must have experience supervising people, hourly and salary with union control
B) Must have good interpersonal skills.
C) Accountability by holding team members accountable for their responsibilities while providing the necessary support and resources.
D) Negotiation through facilitating negotiations to reach mutually beneficial outcomes for all parties involved.
E) Ability to motivate and inspire by encouraging and motivating team members to achieve their best work by recognizing their efforts and providing positive reinforcement.
F) Active listening by engaging with employees and colleagues by listening to their concerns, ideas, and feedback, and responding thoughtfully.
G) Must have good organizational skills.
H) Must have ability to supervise employee's workflow and direct work goals.
