Supplier Field Engineer
Job Description
In coordination with Supplier Performance Manager (SPM), works to drive suppliers to reach and sustain quality and logistics performance levels in line with cabin-level targets across the assigned supplier and/or program scope
Complementary Description
• Support Procurement teams on Crisis Management (chronic part shortages, recovery plan, other)
• Support Quality teams on Crisis Management (chronic rejections/NOE, quality issues, other)
• Support Supplier Performance / Quality on supplier action plans, assessment and escalations, in the event of recurring performance deviations, until acceptable performance is reached
• Ensure the consistency of initiated improvement actions with all supply chain stakeholders.
• Provide supplier on-site support for SPM/SQE supplier action plans in the event of recurring performance deviations, until acceptable performance is reached
• Assist SPM with onsite activities in support of recovery plan management, with line of balance management of shortages across multiple sites.
• Support SPM to recover acceptable supplier performances by addressing action plan follow up through close relationship and visits to supplier site.
• Support the supply chain/operation teams on recovery plans, escalations and/or critical issues.
• Support SPM to “check and act” action plan implementation.
• Support SPM/SQE plan on major quality issues (scope definition, containment.)
• Escalate and participate to risk analysis with SPM team
• Support SPM to drive key stakeholders to define and deliver corrective action plans ensuring results are achieved and sustainable, with a key focus on production readiness,audits and systemic quality issues

Job Requirements
Education: Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in Quality, Supply Chain and/or Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Other Skills:
• Experience in Automotive, Aerospace & Defense or related industry desired
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
• Project Management skills – Intermediate
• Technical awareness of manufacturing processes - Advanced
• Understanding of process control, total quality, APQP, and lean manufacturing - Intermediate
• Knowledge of supply chain principles & tools including audits; ERP principals – Advanced
• Knowledge of Quality/Lean tools (FMEA, 8D, DMAIC, 5W, Ishikawa etc.) including audits – Intermediate
• Problem solving skills - ability to analyze a problem and determine if driven by design, supplier or other factors in a timely fashion. - Intermediate
• Strong communication skills at all levels (written and verbal).
• Microsoft Office (Excel, PBI, MS Word, PowerPoint) – Intermediate
• ERP Systems - Basic
• Ability to work in autonomous environment.
• High level of self motivation and job planning in order to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
• Strong customer focus.
• Leadership through influence and effective conflict resolution.
• Required fluency in English; Spanish and French a plus.
