Job Description
Position Summary: This person is responsible for overseeing the planning and scheduling of our workshop activities in order to secure on-time delivery. This role is critical for ensuring that the means required for production are available to the repair AMC staff. This includes insuring that all tasks are properly scheduled and planned, that materials and tools are procured and available in a timely fashion, that the warehouse is properly managed, that tools and facilities meet the functional needs of SNSZ, and that the shop work environment is organized, safe, and secure. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a robust understanding of manufacturing workflows, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Specific Responsibilities
Production Planner
• Develop and implement production schedules to ensure on-time deliveries. These schedules include all critical resources such as skilled staff, tooling, documentation and material.
• Oversee the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring that production runs smoothly and as per schedule
• Coordinate and review the work plan with team leaders and engineers, make adjustments as needed
• Manage materials and resources allocation to maximize efficiency and minimize waste
• Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data to determine tooling and human resource requirements
• Ensure all employees follow industry standard health and safety guidelines
• Monitor if all work orders have been closed on time and correctly
• Run the weekly control room to ensure all supporting departments are aligned (shared information and goals)
• Run the daily QRQC level 1 for each customer unit to resolve issues promptly
• Participate in the daily QRQC level 2 to escalate issues to management team
• Lead action plan with related departments to improve the production plan/OTD performance
• Analyze clocked time vs planned time to understand and correct deviations
• Coordinates On-Site Interventions at Customer's facility
• Consistently help improving operations (innovation, digital initiatives, lean sigma, etc.)
• Acting as Production Manager with aviation authorities
Other Activities
• Coordinating with HSE Manager
• Responsible for 5S practice and maintenance
• Other tasks arranged by the Operations Director
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Mandatory
o Certified within the CCAR-145 system
o Fluent in English and Chinese (speaking and writing), French speaking is a plus
o Experience in planning and/or project management
o At least 5 years of experience in aviation,
Preferably an CCAR-145 approved repair facility in China
Respect of quality standards and tools of continuous improvement, 5S, HSE, environmental stewardship
o Experience in an MRO environment and knowledge of the regulatory framework
o Strong interpersonal skills
Communication skills, report writing and presentation skills
Autonomy in the respect of the modus operandi
Appreciate to work in team, good relationship, attentive, rigorous and careful
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
o Competent with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
