To promote HSE, Quality and Lean & Continuous Improvement, we are looking for a
Continuous Improvement Engineer reporting to our Lean & Continuous Improvement Manager:
The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for managing and supporting all departments in their search for operational performance improvement, coordinating continuous improvement activities of all the unit and supporting processes of SAESB. He acts as interface of the Model Factory Unit, ensuring methodological alignment in those matters of continuous improvement.
He actively contributes to the continuous improvement culture development by means of its annual roadmap, promotion and active communication (in collaboration with our internal communication structure) .

Job Requirements

Your profile:
• You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field, or equivalent through experience;
• Strong problem-solving capabilities;
• Confident communicator;
• High attention to details;
• Technical ability and knowledge of plant and process;
• Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and QRQC (nice to have);
• You are creative in looking for solutions within the established framework;
• You are analytical, open minded and work in a structured way;.
• You have strong communication skills to liaise with all Safran Aircraft Engine Services and Safran corporate key stakeholders;
• You have good communication skills and are fluent in Dutch or French and English;
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Belgium, holding either an EU passport or a valid work & residence permit. Please note that we do not provide assistance with visa or permit applications.

Specificity of the job

Your role:
• Leads continuous improvement projects and strategy across the Model Factory Unit;
• Looks at current processes and working to improve areas such as Safety, Quality and Operational Excellence;
• Develops and maintains the projects master plan, aligned with the Safran Group's guidelines and company's vision, measures progresses and ensures results achievement;
• Works to identify areas of concern and conduct route cause analysis and implement improvements;
• Promotes the Safran Group's Continuous Improvement (CI) vision and translates it into a local strategy of implementation;
• Basic knowledge in various tools such as Lean, six sigma, 5s and Kaizen methodologies (nice to have);
• Communicates about changes, progresses and performances.
