Job Description
To apply and verify applicable Safran Landing Systems quality processes and procedures in combination with Transport Canada requirements to ensure timely delivery of aerospace products to both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
• The ability to inspect incoming supplier parts and subassemblies to drawing requirements.
• The ability to receive customer returns under the RMA Process and raise applicable NCR's for disposition in conformance to drawing specifications.
• Coordination and management of quarantine items within the quarantine cage and subsequent transactions for all SAP data entries.
• Working knowledge of SAP and PDM.
• Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, manufacturing / assembly layouts, and applicable documentation.
• Creation of Transport Canada (TC) Forms for Legacy and Military parts as well as (C of C) Certificates of Conformity for 787 parts transfers to Customer Service.
• After-hours on-call support as required. It will be a mandatory portion of the role to carry a cell phone for afterhours support monthly.
Job Requirements
• 5 years relevant Aerospace experience.
• Competent in using a wide range of measuring instruments and test equipment.
• Extensive working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical components.
• Working application of Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) would be an asset.
• Competent decision-making skills are required.
• Basic computer knowledge is required. Ability to use Smart Team is an asset.
• Knowledge of our QIS would be an asset.
• Knowledge in shipping and receiving requirements a desired asset.
• The ability to work shifts when required.
• Applicants may be required to write a test.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
