Job Description
SAFRAN Helicopter Engines Australia are seeking a suitably experienced Commercial and Strategy Manager who is responsible for leading the commercial team to match or exceed the assigned sales and business capture targets for SAFRAN HE Australia's product and service lines.
Some of the main objectives of this role will be:
• Lead the Commercial Managers to deliver monthly/quarterly/annual objectives
• Manage Certified Maintenance Centre obligations and performance
• Support Front Office Director on proposal preparations, contracts
• Managing assigned OEM financial and strategic objectives
• Identifying new opportunities for business expansion beyond current activities
• Drive CRM engagement and use effectively to achieve annual objectives
• Reporting and Market Analysis
• Develop business plans and growth agenda for the assigned programs in line with the parameters provided by the Front Office Director
• Collection, analysis and sharing of market related data to support the development and maintenance of business plans and commercial decisions
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships in aligned with the Long Term and Short Term Strategy Goals
• Create winning business solutions through understanding the customer's needs and factors impacting on it
• Manage airshows and promotional attendance to maximize SAFRAN exposure
Minimum qualification and experience:
• Tertiary qualifications in Management, Business or Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent institution, or relevant experience in a related field.
• Sales ‘capture' training through accredited educational institution.
• Masters/Post Graduate level qualification in Business Administration, Accounting, Commerce, Economics or Finance from an accredited university or equivalent institution; not essential
• Project management training/qualification would be advantageous
• Able to constructively develop business and capture strategies from a complex range of variables, options and constraints
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to the planning of a complex business as part of a middle management team
• Demonstrated experience with contracting and management practices
• Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects on time and to budget
• Management and leadership experience. If within an aircraft or engine MRO environment this would be advantageous
• Broad knowledge of and experience in maintenance practices involved with engineering or aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO).
