Job Description
Summary:
Lead and manage all aspects of the MRO operations business unit through a direct reporting structure and ensure safety, regulatory, quality, cost, delivery, customer satisfaction objectives are achieved while maximizing growth, profitability and leveraging employee relations in order to build a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Support, mentor, and motivate your workforce to reach expected level of performance for the MRO operations department.
• Responsible for execution/delivery including programs & contracts, aftermarket production, planning, customer service, and collaboration with supply chain and quality.
• Collaborate with MRO quality control manager on all SRQ MRO quality topics to ensure products delivered are on time and at the expected quality level to customers, and co-manage external/internal customer MRO quality topics (issues, concerns and complaints).
• Manage the external/internal customer MRO issues (concerns, questions, complaints etc.). Remain informed of issues, follow the action plans to closure, and discuss with the customer ensuring on-time delivery, quality and 100% customer satisfaction.
• Manage MRO operations team by deploying a customer centric mindset and partner with HR department on HR related topics such as hiring, training, firing, promoting, coaching, etc.
• Review and evaluate total performance on a continuing basis and establish proper measures of performance.
• Support the continuous improvement site manager on Improvement initiatives by implementing and supporting OS Waves and QRQC.
• Ensure commitment to a safe working environment and the HSE and 6s standards and processes as established by corporate, division and site.
• Train, mentor, develop, coach and counsel MRO leadership to ensure desired results are achieved meeting mid to long-term company goals.
• Drive the implementation and practice of Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma initiatives.
• Establish and maintain the budget (OpEx and CapEx) along with P&L (Sales, Cost, OH, EBIT, FCF) for the business unit.
• Define needed recovery plans when BU's performance is off track, develop burndown plans associated with arrears
• Participate in global marketing initiatives, interfacing with the GM and global Sales and Marketing teams, to fulfill strategic planning objectives and identify new business opportunities, aligning these with development and engineering teams.
• Provide consultation and guidance in the preparation of proposals for products.
• Maintain positive customer relations by ensuring the highest level of quality, delivery, and service while managing risks and opportunities.
• Drive a quality mindset throughout the BU.
• Manage the preparation and distribution of status reports on SRQ MRO quality topics.

Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications :
• A Bachelor's degree in the field of Business, MRO Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, 8+ years of applicable experience
• 2-4 years of progressive management experience with increasing responsibility in an aftermarket and/or manufacturing environment.
• 2-4 years of experience in leading and managing a Part 145 repair stations.
• Customer centric mindset (internal and external customers).
• Demonstrated full P&L responsibility.
• Understanding of FAA FAR's, EASA and CASE requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree in the field of Business or Operations Management from an accredited institution.
• Aerospace Industry experience.
• Fluency in Spanish /French.
• International experience.
Supervisory responsibilities include the following positions:
• Direct management of MRO Production Supervisor & act as N+1 to equipment repair technicians.
• Indirect management of Quality Assurance Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Planners, Customer Service Representatives, Engineering, HSE, IET&C.
Physical Demands:
Sitting 40% / Standing 40% / Walking 20%
May need to lift up to 25lbs
Work Environment:
80% office work / 20% working on a production floor
May need to travel as business needs
