About The Role
Platform Science is looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our growing team. In this role you will be responsible for the timely acquisition of products and services for a broad range of categories. A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years experience in corporate level purchasing is required.The primary work location will be daily, onsite in the San Diego, California office.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform daily typical procurement tasks including: solicitation of quotations, proposal evaluations, negotiations, selection and award of contracts, interfacing with suppliers and stakeholders, issuance of purchase orders, resolving supplier related issues.
- Ability to analyze complex data and make sound decisions
- Proficient in Google Docs, Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems and e-procurement type platforms
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, procurement or related field
- 3-5 years of procurement experience
- Excellent negotiation, executive level communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Technology and SaaS sourcing experience a plus
- Demonstrated ability to achieve P&L savings through negotiations
- Understanding of standard terms and conditions of a purchase order

This is an exempt role. Our job titles for each posting may span across more than one job level. The estimated base salary for this role is between $62,790 and $87,124. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target range for new hire base salaries across all US locations. Compensation packages are based on many factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, work experience, relevant training and certifications, business needs, market demands and specific geographical location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
