We are looking for a Turbomachinery Fluidic Engineer in Barcelona:
About your job:
Joining our close-knit and passionate team dedicated to engine fluid controls, your role will encompass the end-to-end ownership of designs, from concept inception to qualification. You'll play a pivotal role in various aspects of development, including the design, sourcing and integration of fluidic system components and sensors, with a focus on Pangea’s launcher propulsion systems.
Your responsibilities will further extend to collaborating closely with suppliers to establish requirements and support the development of valves.
Your collaborative efforts will span across program leaders, systems engineers, test groups, and other teams, all with the goal of selecting the most optimal architectures and solutions for our propulsion systems. Furthermore, you will actively contribute to shaping and honing best practices in the realm of engine fluidic systems, striving to boost the efficiency of our design approaches and processes.
What you need to be successful:
- BSc degree in engineering discipline (aerospace, mechanical, chemical or physics desired)
- 2+ years of professional engineering experience with fluid control systems, valves, and mechanisms, including rocket or jet engine experience.
- Strong technical fundamentals in propulsion, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and structural analysis
- Strong knowledge of hardware design processes, and hardware fabrication techniques, related to valves
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Familiarity with data analysis and data processing
- Experience with handling suppliers
- Familiarity with leading development programs
- Strong sense of product ownership
- Fluent in English
Other useful skills:
- Advanced degree in engineering discipline
- Experience designing products for cryogenic fluids
- Experience with NX, Matlab, Ecosimpro, Python
