We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer position in Toulouse:
About your role:
As a Mechanical Designer at Pangea Aerospace, you will contribute to the development of our cutting-edge rocket engines. Your work will involve creating mechanical designs from initial concepts to detailed technical documentation.
Collaborating with propulsion engineers, you’ll turn their requirements into practical designs, and with analysts, you’ll refine these designs based on performance feedback. You will also assist in integrating propulsion systems into the rocket and preparing designs for production.
A strong foundation in mechanical design principles and an understanding of propulsion systems are essential. You’ll also coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers, so experience with GD&T and production processes will be key.
Your challenges and responsibilities:
- Design and optimize propulsion components.
- Develop mechanical designs, including GD&T and technical drawings.
- Prepare accurate technical documentation for production.
What you need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related Engineering field.
- At least 3 years of experience in mechanical design.
- Skilled in CAD software (preferably Siemens NX).
- Experience working with large assemblies.
- Proficiency in GD&T and understanding
- Experience creating technical documentation and presentations.
- Fluent in English and French.
Additional desirable skills:
- Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
- Knowledge of chemical propulsion systems.
- Experience with Additive Manufacturing.
- Familiarity with PLM tools (e.g., Teamcenter).
