Department / Location:

Product Engineering (UK-based). Remote, hybrid or onsite.

Your Team:

You will lead a product and engineering team with responsibility for one or more products focused on autonomous vehicles. You will work closely with other teams in the Product Engineering division and teams across the business to ensure we understand the needs of our customers and develop, operate and improve products that innovate on behalf of those customers and meet their needs.

• Establishing and aligning your team behind a vision and product roadmaps, and executing well against those roadmaps.
• Leading a multidisciplinary team which could include product managers, scientists, engineers, safety professionals and other roles.
• Program management for your area, including identifying and managing dependencies, maintaining roadmaps, resolving risks and escalating where necessary, and delivering clearly written reports on progress.
• Leading and coordinating analysis activities and workshops that identify user workflow gaps, product performance issues and root causes of problems.
• Driving and owning cross-team execution of initiatives related to your product.
• Understanding the technology sufficiently to work closely with technical leaders, ensuring that the team has strong scientific and engineering direction.
• Establishing and maintaining mechanisms to gather implicit and explicit customer requirements and improve the customer experience.
• Establishing and maintaining a data-driven culture where every engineer cares about the product metrics and generates ideas for the team.
• Motivating and developing your team.
• Managing and helping to fill open headcount on your team.

• Experience of leading product and engineering teams in large-scale, complex domains.
• You are a natural “unblocker”. You naturally take ownership of problems and revel in driving things forward.
• Experience of working across a company to identify and manage dependencies.
• You have an analytical mind, you are a structured thinker that can work in a fast-paced complex matrix environment
• Extensive experience in interfacing with customers and partners. You love meeting customers and making what they need.
• Experience of leading, motivating and developing a team.
